THE WEATHER HANDBOOK
Daylight and local time
Keep the destination’s clock in view. Sunrise and sunset belong to the selected place, even when you are browsing from another timezone.
The clock follows the place
The local time sits beneath the city name. Forecast hours and calendar dates use that place’s timezone. Bosnian pages use a 24-hour clock; English pages use AM and PM. Switching the language changes the presentation, not the instant represented by an entry.
Use the daylight card
The daylight card lists calculated sunrise, sunset, and day length for the place’s coordinates. The drawing is decorative; use the printed times when comparing your plans. These times are separate from the forecast cloud cover and do not promise sunshine.
Keep another destination nearby
Save both your home and destination, then open each from Saved places. Check the place heading after switching. For locations with no sunrise or sunset on that date, the card uses a text label instead of inventing a clock time.
Try it on your forecast
Open a place you know, look at the relevant section, and keep the guide nearby if a label is unclear.
